A WEST Mackay woman has admitted to defrauding her employer - which provides cash loans - out of thousands of dollars.

Ana Rebecca Bola, 29, faced Mackay Magistrates Court on Wednesday, pleading guilty to fraud by an employee.

She ripped off Money3 Mackay to the tune of $8820 between January 31 and September 27.

Bola's barrister Phillip Moore, of the Australian Torres Strait Islander Legal Service, asked for an adjournment for sentence.

Magistrate Mark Nolan adjourned the case until the middle of the month.

Bola's bail was continued.
