The 57-year-old is one of Australia's most wanted men.

As part of Operation Roam, Queensland police have launched a nationwide campaign to find Stocco and bring him to justice.

Stooco is on a list released by police last week of 20fugitives who are suspected of serious crimes such as murder, assault, armed robbery, rape and drug trafficking.

Gino Stocco, who is described as being 170-175cm tall with a slim to proportionate build, of fair complexion and with brown eyes and brown and grey hair, is wanted for a string of alleged offences committed in Theodore.

It is alleged Stocco was involved in multiple offences in Theodore in 2012 as well as offences in St George, Chinchilla, Euramo, Yuleba and Stanthorpe in the past six years.

Crime Stoppers chief executive officer Trevor O'Hara said Stocco's alleged Theodore offences included evade police, driving unregistered and being in possession of stolen property.

"He is wanted for 15 matters in Queensland between 2009 and 2014. His alleged offences include burglary, stealing, break and enter, firearms offences, arson, stealing as a servant, stealing and fraud.

"We have taken a few calls about Stocco in the past two days, with possible sightings."
