Show and shine revs up
PEOPLE from all over Queensland are making their way to Biloela this weekend for the 2018 Show and Shine.
Twin Valleys Motorcycle Club secretary Cameron McCrohon said people could expect to see a range of vehicles including street and custom bikes, street cars, hot rods, classics and drag cars.
"A lot of these cars and motorbikes rarely hit the road - they are show cars, so people keep them for events like this,” he said.
"They vary in age too, from muscle cars from the '60s and '70s right through to some of the later stuff.”
McCrohon said the club was trying to grow the annual event to be bigger and better every year.
"We are a group of people who like to ride motorbikes and get together for drinks and a laugh,” he said.
"The fundraising event helps raise funds for the clubhouse but we also give back a lot of money through our charity fund - an example is we help our local juniors who are into motocross, we help fund some of their expenses.”
With members from all over the region, McCrohon said the event presented a great opportunity to check out some show cars and motorbikes.
"In the past we have drawn cars and bikes from all over Central Queensland that a lot of locals wouldn't get to see,” he said.
"Everyone dreams at some stage of owning a show car or show motorbike and this is an opportunity to enhance your dreams and think about what could be,” he said.
