Second boy hit at fatal intersection
ANOTHER child has been struck by a car at the same intersection where a four-year-old boy was fatally injured on the Darling Downs just over a week ago.
Paramedics in Dalby, northwest of Toowoomba, treated the seven-year-old boy after he was hit on the corner of Arthur and Drayton streets shortly after 5pm today.
The boy was taken to Dalby Hospital in a stable condition with possible leg injuries.
It follows the death of Shykarn Latham, who had his life support switched off last Thursday night after being struck by a van in the same spot.
Meanwhile, Codie Ward, 4, is recovering in Brisbane's Lady Cilento Children's Hospital after being hit by a relative's reversing car at Peak Crossing near Ipswich on Friday afternoon.
