Rival coach a big fan of unhappy Essendon man

DISGRUNTLED Bombers defender Jake Carlisle has at least one fan - North Melbourne coach Brad Scott.

Carlisle is off contract at the end of the season, and has made it clear he doesn't see his future at Essendon.

With a host of clubs expected to be interested in his services next season - including the Western

Bulldogs, Carlton and St Kilda - Scott took the opportunity to say publicly he would love to see the 22-year-old in blue-and-white.

"(Jake) is one of the players that we'd like to add," Scott told reporters.

"Like every club, we're looking at all sorts of different options to improve our list and if the time comes that Jake decides that he wants to look at a fresh start, then that's the time we'll start drilling down on that."

Carlisle is one of 34 present and former Essendon players involved in WADA's appeal against the decision by the AFL anti-doping tribunal not to suspend them.
