Quad bike rider airlifted after crash on rural property

THE CareFlight Rescue helicopter was dispatched to a property near Teelba, south-east of Roma, on Saturday evening for a reported quad bike accident.

The owner of the property had organised vehicles at the landing site so their headlights could light-up a safe landing area for the helicopter.

Medical crew accessed the male patient in his 20s who had suffered possible fractured ribs, a broken collar bone and possible injuries to his spleen.

He was airlifted to the Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
