MACKAY State High School held a fair on Saturday, featuring carnival rides and other fairground attractions.

It was the first time such an event has been held in many years.

There were large show-style rides and sideshows which were popular among students. Students and their families as well as the wider community were invited to the event, which started at 5pm and ran into the evening.

Drama students converted the stage area of the school hall into a haunted house.
