Peppa goes home after making plenty of fuss

PEPPA the pig is going home.

The lost sow spent the weekend at the Ipswich Pound after she was found on the Warrego Hwy at Blacksoil.

But a photo of the pig on the front page of yesterday's Queensland Times alerted the owners to the pig's whereabouts.

Peppa, a name given to her by staff at the pound, fell off the back of a float on the highway on Saturday. She somehow escaped injury from the fall on to the highway before being reported to the pound.

They then collected her, with the help of a number of police and onlookers, looking after her until late yesterday afternoon when her owners came to pick her up.

The massive sow, weighing in at well over 150 kilograms, was the biggest animal at the pound.
