Paying the favour forward for North Qld flood victims

RETURNING the favour is the part of the plan for Paula Bruckner and Genevieve Gleeson as they gather letters and cards of hope for North Queensland flood victims.

They are collecting them to send to flood victims to show Central Queensland cares and wants to help however they can.

The compassionate ladies have set up 'Pay It Forward - Acts Of Hope' program to help raise awareness and take action to help out.

"One of the many purposes for this program is there will be a need to help these flood victims not just for today but also months down the track,” Genevieve said. "When we were flood affected previously, people helped to look after us and now we want to return the favour and pay it forward for North Queensland.

"These letters and cards will remind them that people do care and are thinking of them.”

Messages of care with tea bags or seeds will help farmers to regrow their faith that all is not lost.

Letters and cards can be dropped at Kariboe Street Collective or Theodore Home and Garden Cafe.
