Nude dancing man to blame for four car crashes

MOTORISTS turning to see a search for a naked dancing man at the side of the road is believed to be responsible for as many as four car crashes during peak hour traffic this morning.

The Northern Territory police were called out to Tiger Brennan Drive last night after reports of a young, blond naked man who was dancing, singing and throwing rocks at cars, the ABC has reported.

The search resumed this morning when there was a two-car crash, followed by an accident involving six vehicles.

"A little bit of rubber-necking there," Superintendent Rennie said.

A police car on its way to help in the six-car crash then hit an inbound car.

Finally, on the Stuart Highway, where traffic had been diverted, there was a three-car nose-to-tail crash.
