Noisy neighbours to paint the town blue

THE noisy neighbours, as Sir Alex Ferguson famously called Manchester City, have done it again - they have won a second English Premier League title in two years following a last-day 2-0 win over West Ham United at Eithad Stadium.

City only needed a point to win a fourth top-flight crown but won easily thanks to goals from Samir Nasri and skipper Vincent Kompany.

The Blues won the title by two points from Liverpool, which finished second after coming from behind to beat Newcastle United at Anfield 2-1.

Chelsea finished third after a 2-1 win at relegated Cardiff City.

And Arsenal confirmed Norwich's relegation with a 2-0 success at Carrow Road.

Everton and Tottenham filled the Europa League spots after 2-0 and 3-0 wins over Hull and Aston Villa respectively, while there were also victories for Swansea, which beat Sunderland at the Stadium of Light and Stoke, which won 2-1 at West Brom.

Manchester United failed to qualify for Europe for the first time in 25 years after a 1-1 draw with Southampton saw the Red Devils finish seventh, while relegated

Fulham and Crystal Palace drew 2-2.
