Networking making way for development
AN OPPORTUNITY for businesses to make strides and plan for future growth is almost here.
The Biloela Enterprise Business Networking Dinner is a chance for local business owners and community members to network and see how they can boost industry across the Banana Shire.
Biloela Enterprise president Dianne Morris said these networking opportunities were valuable for both the businesspeople and community members of the region.
“It gives an opportunity for big business managers to get together, because they rarely get together and network,” Mrs Morris said.
“It’s an opportunity for Callide Dawson Chamber of Commerce members to be aware of what’s going on regionally as well as locally.
“This is strategic networking being undertaken at the regional, state and national level.”
Regional Development Australia Fitzroy and Central West chairman Grant Cassidy will be guest speaker on the night.
The RDAFCW facilitates economic opportunities to achieve sustainable regional growth by collaborating with all levels of government, businesses, community groups and a wide range of regional stakeholders.
“Big funding comes through Grant Cassidy’s organisation,” Mrs Morris said.
“It’s to hear what’s going on and what funding is or can be allocated to the Banana region.
“In the past, grants and funding from the RDAFCW have gone to the Banana Shire Council, which has led road projects and water infrastructure, for example.”
The dinner is a public event. It will be held October 24 from 6-9pm at Hotel Settlers.
