Motorist caught overtaking at 164kmh on double white lines

A MOTORIST has been caught doing 164kmh overtaking a row of vehicles on double white lines on the Bruce Hwy at Bauple.

Officers from Tiaro police station intercepted the man from Emerald, who was travelling south in a car, about 6:30pm on Monday.

A police representative said he was issued with a $1026 traffic infringement notice for speeding and one for overtaking on double white lines as well as a six-month high speed license suspension.
