Maroons pick strong squad for U20 Origin clash

RUGBY LEAGUE: Canberra Raiders star Anthony Milford and Broncos utility Corey Oates have been named in Queensland's team to take on New South Wales in the annual U20 State of Origin match in Penrith on Saturday night.

The Maroons line-up also includes Parramatta's John Folau, the brother of former NRL star-turned rugby international Israel Folau.

Milford (pictured) is one of nine players from the Queensland side that was beaten 36-12 by NSW last year, who will line up again this year. The Blues also have plenty of talent in their squad with boom West Tigers halfback Luke Brooks named in the No.7 jersey.

Other exciting prospects include South Sydney winger Alex Johnston who scored a try on debut against the Broncos on Friday night, and rookie Parramatta back-rower Pauli Pauli who was one of the bright lights in a dismal Eels performance against the Cowboys on Saturday night.
