Man jailed for punching, stomping on woman's head

A BILOELA man who punched and kicked a woman before stomping on her head has been sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Alex Neville Moore last week pleaded guilty in Biloela Magistrates Court to one count each of assault occasioning bodily harm, contravention of a domestic violence order and wilful damage, following an incident on June 28.

The court heard Moore went to the 31-year-old woman's house at 2pm and got into a verbal argument with her.

Police prosecutor Nina Sulzer told the court Moore, 26, punched the woman in the forehead, dragged her to the ground by her shirt and repeatedly punched her head and face.
