LAST Sunday we played a stableford, and the winner on 37pts was Pauline Lambert-Barker, runner-up went to Ian Edmistone on 35pts on a countback from Russel Long. The pinshots on both 2/11 & 6/15 were won by P.Lambert-Barker, and it was nice to have Sharon Edmistone and Tanya Long playing with us, we will play at our normal time of noon on Sunday and will be playing the Monthly medal for March.

Thursday Club: Last week we played the front nine, our winner on22pts was Kevin Lambert-Barker(11) the pin on No2 was won By P. Lambert-Barker, and Kevin was also lucky enough to also win the membership. Until next time, good golfing.


SATURDAY was a Medley Stableford. The winner on a countback was Bruce Robson from Steve Dietrich and Brian Green, all on 41 points, followed by Graham Dorsett 38, Mark Warnick, Peter Moore, Jin Affleck and Andrew Evetts on 37 and Steve Rizzini on 35.

Pin-shots: 2/16 C Miles, #8 T Lonsdale, 2nd 1/15 a Nolan, 2nd 12 T Lonsdale.

Sunday was a Stroke Event. The winner with 70 nett was Matt Sahlqvist from Andrew Nolan and Chase Wright on 71, Cliff Heilbronn 73, Bruce Robson, Kerry Munster, Steve Dietrich and Jim Affleck on 74. Pin-shots 2/16 S Dietrich, #8 R Callow, #11 Not claimed, #13 Steve Dietrich.

Next Saturday will be a three-ball Ambrose for Breast Cancer Research, Names in by 9.15 for a 10am tee off.

Sunday will be the March round of the monthly 4BBB.


ON Sunday we played a Mulligan Stroke event over 14 holes for Tim Boyd's trophy. The winner this week was our handicapper Kerry Ferguson with a great round score of 45 nett, runner-up was Joe Mazzacuva only one shot back on 46 nett, then came Brad Smith on 48 nett, and Tyson Charles on 49 nett completing the rundown. The encouragement award this week went to Paul Higgins on 59 nett, on a cut of the cards from Ian Kirk and Tim Boyd. The Pinshots -No.2 Wayne Heid, No.8 Jarrett Weekes, No.10 Byron Hassell, No.12 Joe Mazzacuva, {Capt's Pin}, No.13 & 14 Tyson Charles. Next week there is a 2-Ball Ambrose Event for Byron and Brad's Trophy.

ON MARCH 3, Biloela ventured to Moura for the first round of the annual Dawson-Callide Shield.

After the first round that consisted of singles and fours, Dawson held a slender lead.

In the afternoon, pairs and triples were played with Callide taking out the afternoon session to give them an overall lead and retain the shield.

Competition games played on March 9 in club singles, Ron Cooney won against Wayne Marxsen.

On March 10, in club singles, Rob Huggers won against Ron Cooney and in singles Alan Clifford won against Cooper Huggers.

This weekend the club is hosting their amalgamated fours carnival with a maximum number of teams nominated and the format being mixed fours, mixed pairs and pairs.

Competitions set down for March 23 at 1pm are B singles P. Pincott vs M.Howe and A. Clifford vs M.Weeks.

In B pairs S.Dittman/ G.Gurnick vs J.Watson/T.Kurtz.

On March 24 at 9am in club singles, R.Huggers vs A.Dittman, B singles, winner of Clifford/Weeks vs T.Kurtz and in B pairs R.Radke/T.Shaw vs M.Howe/D.Loader. At 1pm C singles B. Pincott vs A.Spillman.
