Injuries sustained from horse fall
A MUSTERING incident has left a man with significant injuries in Moura.
Just before 11am yesterday morning the RACQ Capricorn Rescue was tasked to retrieve a patient from the Moura airfield who was involved in a farming incident.
The male patient was mustering on horseback when a cow allegedly caused the horse to throw the patient, subsequently the horse then fell onto the man causing suspected significant pelvis and hip injuries.
The patient was initially treated by Queensland Ambulance Service personnel at the scene before being transported to the Moura airfield.
He was then further stabilised by the Rescue 300 medical crew before being airlifted to Rockhampton Hospital for further scans and treatment.
