Good weather to go outdoors and enjoy holidays

IT WILL be more good holiday weather to get out, have some fun, grab the tent and go out camping with the family.

However, it will pay to pack something warm if you do go bush because there is expected to be a slight drop-in overnight temperatures.

Today will be mostly sunny with little chance of rain and with overnight temperatures falling to between 15C and 19C and daytime temperatures reaching around 30C.

The weekend weather will be almost the same, with mostly sunny days sitting around 30C and overnight temperatures hovering around 15C and 19C.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will see similar conditions leading up to Easter and will be good for the upcoming long

weekend.

For anyone planning on going to the coast over the last week of the holidays or travel to parts of the local area, the Bureau of Meteorology has predicted similar weather patterns in the Capricornia region.

Bureau of Meteorology meteorologist Aditi Sharan said nothing special would happen for the weekend weather except for the possibility of winds blowing through the Capricornia region.

"The weather will be mostly sunny with south-easterly winds blowing through today and the medium chance of showers for the Capricornia region, mostly along the coastline,” Aditi said.

"The winds are expected to be around 20-30km/h and temperatures close to average for the region this time of year.

"The cause of this weather is a ridge extending along the east coast and that is causing the southerlies coming today and some of the weekend.”

Monday and Tuesday will be mostly sunny, with Wednesday expected to be partly cloudy.
