APN NRL team of the week
FULLBACK: Billy Slater (Storm): Responded to criticism of his recent form with a super game against Manly which should put talk about his Queensland Origin jumper to rest.
WINGER: Daniel Tupou (Roosters): His form in recent weeks must surely have grabbed the eye of NSW Origin selectors.
CENTRE: Konrad Hurrell (Warriors): Wow. When Konrad is in that kind of mood don't get in his road. Three line breaks and 164m against a weak Raiders defence.
CENTRE: Dylan Walker (Souths, pictured): Like we've said before, four tries in a game will get you into our team every week. Starting to live up to his potential.
WINGER: Josh Mansour (Penrith): A winger making almost 250m is unheard of. His charges out of dummy half are working for the Panthers.
FIVE-EIGHTH: Josh Reynolds (Bulldogs): Has there been a better performance in the No.6 this season? Had a hand in everything.
HALFBACK: Chris Sandow (Parramatta): Credit where credit is due and Sandow deserves recognition for how he has changed his game this season. Few more dangerous players when he runs the ball.
PROP: Matt Scott (Cowboys): Welcome back Matty. Whopper of a game with 237m from 27 bullocking charges against the Broncos.
HOOKER: Cameron Smith (Melbourne): Again showed why he is regarded as the smartest player in the game to get the Storm home in a heart-stopper against Manly.
PROP: George Burgess (Souths): Helped lay the platform for his side's impressive win with 147m and 39 tackles.
2ND-ROW: Tony Williams (Bulldogs): 156 big metres and 23 tackles would have put a smile on Laurie Daley's face. That's how he should play every week.
2ND-ROW: Sonny Bill Williams (Roosters): Stood out in a Roosters pack which steamrolled Wests.
LOCK: Jamie Buhrer (Manly): Outstanding contribution in a losing side with 153m and 35 tackles. Almost pulled the game out with a late try.
