UPDATE: Bli Bli Rd is open to traffic again after a fatal two-vehicle crash today.

Traffic is at a slow crawl as police direct cars through the area near Atkinsons Rd.


A MAN has died on the way to hospital following a head on collision in Bli Bli earlier this afternoon

An elderly man was trapped in his vehicle following the traffic crash on Bli Bli Rd near the Prentis Rd intersection about 12.40pm.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 26-year-old Bli Bli man, was also taken to the Nambour General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

At Bli Bli Road between Prentis Road and Atkinson Road was closed for investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit.

Police were turning traffic around at Atkinsons Rd and just near Claytons Depot. 

Traffic and Travel Information 13 19 40 was saying extreme delays are to be expected.
