Dig out the winter woollies
IT WILL be good fishing, camping and outdoors weather this Labour Day long weekend, but it is recommended to pack something warm due a possible cold front coming through.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Annabelle Ford said despite possible showers predicted, there should be some sunny weather ahead as well.
"Today there is a slight chance of showers on the coast but not quite getting to Biloela,” Ms Ford said.
"However there is a bit of a trough moving through from the west towards the coast and that could generate some showers and storms in the region, mainly on Saturday afternoon.”
Today's weather is expected to be partly cloudy with a night-time low of about 16C and a daytime high of 27C.
Winds in the morning will be east to south-easterly at speeds of 15-20km/h before a north to northeasterly change later in the day.
For the weekend, Biloela can expect a night minimum of 13C and a daytime maximum of 26C.
Saturday there is expected to be a chance of showers and storms in the morning and afternoon, with the weather clearing overnight for a sunny Sunday.
"There is a cold front coming through from the southern states with a bit of a cool change behind it,” MsFord said.
"With the cool change it will bring some dry air and bring night-time temperatures down.”
The cool change is expected to continue at least until Wednesday.
