THE youngest Irwin has made his Hollywood debut in the most Sponge-tastic of ways.

Robert Irwin will burst on to cinema screens as the voice of Kyle the seagull in the upcoming Spongebob Squarepants movie.

Working with the likes of Antonio Banderas, Robert has also lent his voice for the film and says that he "would love to continue on with movies".

Robert and a group of his lucky friends will watch a preview screening of the film before it hits cinemas Australia-wide on April 2.

It comes after he launched his new Discovery Kids show Wild But True.

Kyle the seagull is a sweet little character in the new movie, with a slight lisp and loveable lines. His big sister Bindi said she could not be more proud.

"He did such a good job, we're all so proud of him," she said.

"He's certainly getting the swing of things and is just more and more like his dad every day.

"His mannerisms, the things he does always reminds me of dad."
