Consistency and travel key to success for golfer
ONE of our golfers has been bestowed with a very high honour.
Adam Mollis of Biloela has been named the 2019 Central Queensland men’s golfer of the year.
It’s thanks to his dedication and commitment to travel all around Central Queensland to perform at a high level that Mollis was able to climb to the top.
“Yeah, it’s a good achievement to maintain the high level of standard of golf throughout the year,” Mollis said.
“It’s good to go out there and support as many golf club opens within Central Queensland as possible.
“To consistently be able to perform at them is rewarding.”
Mollis won the men’s golfer of the year based on a points system for A-grade players who have to compete in a minimum of seven open championships throughout Central Queensland.
Down the track Mollis will also play in some high-level golf competitions.
“I’ve been selected to play for the Central Queensland team down in Brisbane against all other associations in Queensland on November 12-13,” Mollis said.
“Individually I will be heading to the Sunshine Coast Open this weekend to wrap it up for the year.
“Hopefully the four of us in the Central Queensland team can bring back the trophy.”
