Catwalk models step out on Vinnies Fashion Parade

IT COULD have been a catwalk in Milan or the Channel Casino when the models strutted their stuff for the Biloela Vinnies Fashion Parade last Saturday.

The theme for the day was "flowers and showers” with an umbrella hanging from the ceiling at the front door with flowers draped over the side.

It was at packed capacity with a crowd of 78 patrons watching the stylish outfits being paraded by the models.

St Joseph's Conference president Gay Fraser, who organised the fashion parade, said the day was one of class and style for everyone.

"The models got to choose their own clothing in the Vinnies Store to parade,” Gay said.

"Many thanks goes to the models that put on a glamorous showing of the calibre of garments Vinnies has to offer.”

The atmosphere was a happy one with Bronwyn Schultz and Heather Barnes doing the MC duties.

The proceeds from the afternoon will go towards the St Vincent de Paul Bursary Fund to help with the cost of Year 6 primary school students going into high school and Year 12 high school students going into further study of Tafe or university.

The bursary is offered to all schools in the Biloela and Moura area.

"We are thankful to all the volunteers who did their bit in making it a wonderful afternoon and the sponsors for the donations they made for the raffles,” Gay said.
