Callide Dawson Beef Competition entries open

THE Callide Dawson Beef Carcase Competition for 2019 is well under way with entries and events planned for 2019.

President Beau Suraski said the year will be a good one with the events planned.

"The field day will have multiple industry speakers and a working dog demonstration,” Mr Surawski said.

"We will have a Calcutta and a gold coin donations to go towards the charities we support.”

Nominations are now open in the hotly contested Callide Dawson Beef Carcase competition and beef producers from any areas in Queensland are welcome to participate.

Classes include grain-fed, grass-fed and grain-assisted, where cattle are judged on live weight, dressing percentage and a number of carcase attributes.
