BMX bonanza is coming to Biloela

THIS weekend, Biloela will be inundated with more than 200 BMX riders from various Queensland clubs as they compete at the local track for the Biloela Bonanza.

Riders competing range in age from two to 50 in a variety of riding classes including the Pro open Men and Women.

The youngest Biloela riders are two-year-old Declan Meikle, two-year-old Lachlan Burnett and three-year-old Joel Nielsen.

"I like to go fast and I like getting trophies," said Joel, who is already competing in his fifth BMX carnival.

The small Biloela club is hoping to dominate on the weekend with a home track advantage.

The track is looking fantastic and with thanks to major sponsors M&M Electrical, Auslec, Kerry Lynch, Wall Skidd Steer and Tipper Hire, CMC, Flexihire, and Bathy Plumping, the event will be run as professionally and successfully as any other major BMX event.

Racing on Saturday is from 1-4pm with finals run Sunday morning from 9am.

Spectators are more than welcome and encouraged to come and watch.
