Biloela Rugby Player To Become A Bushranger
RUGBY UNION: Ezekiel Jackson will be looking forward to packing down in the boiler room of scrums when he represents the Central Queensland Bushrangers in July.
The Biloela junior was recently selected to play in the forwards for the Bushrangers after playing in a two-day muster carnival in Yeppoon.
There were three games played and scores for the games didn't matter because the weekend was about showing skills for selection.
Jackson swaps between loose-head and tight-head prop positions and will play for selection in the country or city teams in Toowoomba.
He was 11 years old when he first started to play and pushing for further representative selection.
"This is my third year in juniors and I enjoy rugby union because of the mateship and we have to work together as a team,” Jackson said.
"I would like to play for the Queensland Reds or even the Wallabies one d
Jackson has been training hard at the Biloela rugby grounds every Tuesday and Thursday evening.
He has received great support from junior head coach Adam Marxson, also is the Gladstone Brahmans assistant coach.
"They are very welcoming for new players here and come down and have run at juniors and there is even a women's team who plays competition rugby,” Jackson said.
The muster in Yeppoon had 11 members from Biloela attending: Seth Jackson, Kain Radburn, Aron Picton, Tiger Irvine, Brendan Robertson, Mike Lotz, Sonny Irvine, Jayden Robertson, Jack Taylor, Ezekiel Jackson with Adam Marxson.
Ryan Jensen missed the muster due to injury.
