Biggest Morning Tea

Jodi Hock is hosting an Australia's Biggest Morning Tea this Saturday, June 24 at about 9am. Brekky starts at 7.30am and will go till 11am. It will be held at "The Old Shop" at Dululu out the front where the shop used to be. Entry is $5 (morning tea and coffee/tea supplied) cent sale, small raffle. Bacon and egg rolls $5 each. Big Brekky (bacon, egg, sausage, onions, hash brown and spaghetti/baked beans) $10, donations welcome. Jodi would love to see you all there.

Bowls Club

The Wowan Bowls Club is holding Social bowls on Sunday, June 25starting with Morning Tea at 9.30am to start play at 10am. Names in by 9am. The day will include morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea with a cost of $20. Everyone welcome children too. Maybe you only want to play one game well they will fix that up too. Please ring your name through to the club if you can't be there by 9am. Phone 49371277. Everyone welcome.

Multi-purpose centre

Next Tuesday a Biggest Morning Tea is being held at the Wowan/Dululu MPC commencing from 10am, with all proceeds going to the Cancer Council. Any donations for the cent sale is most welcome and everyone is welcome to attend.

Last week, several community members attended the evening with ABC radio presenter Craig Hamilton at the Biloela RSL Club. Once again Craig spoke about his first hand experience with Mental Health and with being Men's Health last week this was an important topic. Thank you to the Banana Shire Council for staging the event. a good night was held.

On Tuesday the Wowan/Dululu MPC held a Mid Year Client Luncheon and those that attended enjoyed morning tea and the luncheon prepared by staff and volunteers. Patrons had fun with some of the competitions and some yarns that Peter had. May Lewis won the lucky door prize, Betty Harris won the raffle and Tony Mudford won second prize. Thank you to all for making it a lovely day out.

Golf Club

Sunday's competition saw sister and brother team of Paige and Daley Mallet win with a 54nett. Well done, Daley also won a pinshot and Nathan Kapernick won two pinshots. This Sunday is the Moura 4B, for those playing, good golfing! Reminder that the closed championships will be held on the first two Sunday's in July.

Show Society

The 2017 Show Schedules are now available. The countdown is on for the 2017 Wowan Show and this year the committee have made a couple of changes to the program. This year there will be a wood chopping demonstration which will be held several times during the day, so this is a new feature. The next meeting of the show society will be held on Sunday, July 2 at 7pm at the showgrounds. All welcome.

Hasn't the weather been lovely, but now it has turned cold again. Take care everyone with these cold weather conditions. Farmers have been busy in recent months with thousands of acres of wheat planted. We trust that the outcome with be rewarding and financial to all.
