Armed robbery accused to stay behind bars

A SLADE Point man has been accused of robbing two businesses with weapons in the Mackay region last week.

Joshua Lucas Muller, 26, faced Mackay Magistrates Court in custody on Thursday, charged with armed robbery on November 30 at Mackay and December 1 at Farleigh.

It's alleged he fled with cash in both instances.

No pleas were entered during the case's first mention, in which Muller was represented by duty lawyer Aaron Sellentin, of Barron and Allen Lawyers.

Magistrate Mark Nolan adjourned Muller's case until February 22.

He's due to appear via videolink.
