Mr Black's bail application was mentioned in Brisbane Supreme Court on Thursday when the prosecutor asked for an adjournment to allow more time to investigate the gun's ownership.

The court heard Mr Black will be sentenced on another matter in a magistrates court on September 3, and he could receive a jail sentence.
