A SPLASH of colour, a dash of design and a stack of style is the recipe for Saturday night's hair show spectacular.
Senior stylist and manager of Country Reflections, Angela Wilkie, came up with the event idea and brought together six Biloela hair salons to host the town's hottest hair event on the 2009 calendar.
“We have all been working on this since April and I am so happy to see it finally coming together,” Angela said.
Tickets are completely sold out with 450 audience members set to be entertained with a showcase of hairstyles from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, today and into the future.
Each salon has an allocated decade and will parade models with styles from that era.
Passion Hair Design owner Brodie-Lee Stubbins will present the future category and won't give away any of her secrets for Saturday night's show.
“All my hair designs will be kept top secret, although you can expect to see some unique and crazy creations,” Brodie-Lee said.
About 150 brave males and females ranging in age have volunteered to strut their stuff on the runway to show off the various hair designs.
Senior stylist at Country Reflections, Leonie D'antoni, said it was wonderful to see the community had come together to celebrate five decades of hairdressing.
“We have so many amazing hairstylists in such a small town and it's great that we have all come together to celebrate 50 years of hairdressing,” Leonie said.
“Even our suppliers have jumped on the bandwagon and supplied sample hair products for the audience.”
There will also be a raffle at the door with fantastic prizes including a GHD styler.
Hair Through The Ages will be held at Biloela Civic Centre on Saturday at 6:30pm with all profits going to the RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue.
The hairdressers and models, along with the audience, will celebrate on into the night with an after-party and entertainment by fire twirlers. The salons and their eras 1960s - Dari' Hair 1970s - Sandra West 1980s - Platinum Today - Country Reflections Future - Passion Hair Design
