Child in WA treated for deadly meningococcal

A CHILD is being treated for the potentially deadly meningococcal disease in a Western Australian hospital.

The WA Health Department released a statement confirming the child, the fourth person in the state to contract the disease since January, was expected to recover and close family and contacts had been given precautionary antibiotics.
