Bikers missing in Simpson Desert rescued

A TRIO of bikers reported missing in the Simpson Desert at the weekend have been rescued.

Search teams were sent out to a report area west of Birdsville after a distress beacon was activated late Sunday.

The three men were found alive on Monday.

One was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries while the two others were driven back to Birdsville
