Vinnies hit with bout of stealing
WHEN Miranda Davis went to work at Biloela's St Vincent de Paul on Monday she couldn't believe what she saw.
Donated goods that were in the charity's bins had been rummaged through and scattered around the building.
"It's a little disheartening," store manager Miranda said.
Miranda said it wasn't the only problem the store had been experiencing.
"We have just increased our security because we have had a lot of stealing."
These incidents have forced the store into warning residents to take precautions when dropping items off.
"Our opening hours are 9am-3pm Monday to Friday and anything that is donated outside those times we can't guarantee we will receive," she said.
Miranda said the group acknowledged the generous donations given to the store by the Biloela community and the help it gave to others.
"Most of our volunteers are in their golden years so it can get hard for them to lift and bend.
"So if there are any younger people who could help out with pick-up and deliveries it would be greatly appreciated."
