Top-seeded Murray to wrap up big day of tennis at Brisbane

THE stars are coming out to play at the Brisbane International today.

In a schedule packed with hot-shot players - or what's left in the draw of them anyway - Hewitt, Williams, Murray will be some of the names gracing the Pat Rafter Arena scoreboard.

Lleyton Hewitt is up against Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan this afternoon after a good start to the tournament with a first-round win against Igor Kunitsyn on Tuesday night.

Serena Williams kicks off the night session against countrywoman Sloane Stephens, who beat Sam Stosur's conquerer Sofia Arvidsson yesterday.

Defending champion and top seed Andy Murray will wrap up the night in an enticing clash with local favourite, qualifier John Millman.

The Scot had a brilliant year in 2012, winning the US Open for his maiden grand slam title and also winning gold at the London Olympics.

Coming into 2013, he said he was more relaxed and feeling less pressure than previous years, but that was not to say his preparation for the summer was any different.

"You know, I prepared exactly the same. I probably just feel a little bit more relaxed maybe the last few weeks than I normally do a few weeks out from a slam," he said.

"But, you know, I'm sure once I get on the court everything stays the same. I prepared very well in Miami and trained hard to get myself ready for the new season, and I hope can be successful here."

The world No. 3 indicated he had not changed too much about his game in his preparation for the season.

"I think there are so many things in tennis that you need to be able to do well, you just need to keep improving on the things that you have," he said.

"I think with the strength at the top of the game just now there is not that many weaknesses in too many of guys' games.

"You need to try and make sure that the worst parts of your game, you know, which can still be strong, that you keep improving them and try to make them as best as they can be."
