Tax benefit increases for families

BENEFITS to some 1.5 million families who receive the Family Tax Benefit will be boosted from July 2013.

Around 1.1 million families on FTB Part A with two or more children will increase to the maximum rate of $600 a year, while those with one child will get $300 a year.

Those on FTB Part B with two children will get $200 extra each year, or an extra $100 a year with one child.
