Road closures for Banana Shire

BANANA Shire Disaster Management have released a list of local road closures as of 3pm today, January 27.

The group warned this information is subject to change at any given time.

Biloela to Thangool (Kroombit Creek bridge)
Jambin Dakenba Road (Washpool Creek) at intersection of Tognolini Baldwin Rd
State Farm Road (Washpool Creek)
Winston Street (Thangool Airport)
Baileys Lane (Washpool Creek) Transfer Station end
Calvale Road

Meissners Road
Parkers Lane
Semples Road
Gibihi Road from Roundabout at Dawson Mine to Leichhardt Highway
Moura Theodore Road from Gibihi Road turnoff at Moura Airport
Dawson Highway (Kroombit Creek, Grevillea Creek and Prospect Creek)
Van Itallies Road (Burnett Highway and Valentine Plains Rd)
Linkes Road
Jambin Dakenba (Callide) Meatworks
Hintons Lane
Mullers Road
Zischke's Road (Kroombit Creek)

Council advise that motorists should keep off roads where possible and observe road closure signage and directions of Emergency Services personnel. 

Further, motorists should avoid driving through water as hazards may not be visible under water (e.g. road washout).

Please report any significant road damage issues to the Banana Shire Local Disaster Coordination Centre on 4992 9500.

Do not drive through fast flowing water. If it's flooded - forget it.
