QR investigates after coal train derails at Biloela
A TRAIN carrying 60 wagons of coal derailed at Biloela on Friday night.
The train was travelling on the Moura short line between Belldeen and Earlsfield on Orange Creek Rd.
The first locomotive and 20 wagons had passed the Orange Creek Rd intersection at 9.20pm when about 20 wagons derailed.
A police spokesperson said the rail line was severely damaged.
He said QR National was investigating the cause of the derailment and recovering the train.
