Pup ties the knot
HE MAY have been disappointed with his contribution for Pune Warriors in the IPL, but nothing could wipe the smile off Michael Clarke's face on Tuesday when he married sweetheart Kyly Boldy in a private ceremony in the Blue Mountains.
Clarke was left out of the Pune line-up in favour of South Australian batsman Callum Ferguson for the team's final game in the competition on Monday.
He then surprised everyone, expect his new bride and both families, by flying back to Australia for what he described as the perfect wedding.
Clarke tweeted on Wednesday, "Happiest guy in the world. Married@kylyboldy yesterday in front of our gorgeous families".
His new bride was just as thrilled, tweeting, "Luckiest woman in the world. Greatest day of my life ... so proud to be your wife".
