Party like it's Saturday with Prince

Prince has announced a second Brisbane show in May.

PRINCE fans have another chance to see the American RnB singer after a second Brisbane show was announced yesterday.

The Purple Rain singer will now perform seven shows in Australia with the addition of a May 26 show at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.

"The demand for a second Brisbane concert was obvious and we're delighted we've been able to juggle the touring schedule and successfully negotiate a Saturday night show, one week later, on May 26," promoter Garry Van Egmond said.

"We really wanted a Saturday night for those fans who would need to travel.

"We are really very pleased we've been able to make this happen for Queensland fans but the itinerary will not allow for a third concert and this will definitely be the last Prince show for Brisbane."

Prince will perform on a symbol-shaped stage, giving concert-goers a 360-degree view during the show.

It will be his first tour of Australia in nine years.

Tickets for the additional Queensland show go on sale on Monday at 10am through Ticketek
