THANGOOL Possums showed in emphatic style why they are the favourites to win the Callide Dawson Cricket premiership.

Possums skittled Taipans for 60 runs during their day/night clash last weekend and then used only 14 overs to score the required runs.

Ben Jenkins (2/11) and Troy Hogan (3/24) spear-headed Possums attack before Matt Brandt cleaned-up the tail, capturing 2/7.

Dan Hayes topped scored for Taipans with 20, while Al Becker (10) was the only other player to reach double figures.

Dan Hayes enjoyed his return to the Taipans' outfit picking up the only two wickets that fell during the Possums run chase.

Hogan top scored with 28 not out, while Ray Stanley (18) and Ashley Millican (12) helped secure the premiership points.
