Police deny stabbing rumours

BILOELA Police have said there is nothing for residents to worry about after a spate of rumours suggested a stabbing occured in town on the weekend.

Acting Senior Sgt Brendan Halloran said police were called to an incident over the weekend which has resulted in rumours about a stabbing in the area.

Acting Senior Sgt Halloran said after being sick all day a women had attempted to get up but passed out and hit her head on a wall.

"It was reported to 000 as a possible stabbing but that was not the case," Acting Senior Sgt Halloran said.

"It is believed her de facto came out into the street yelling 'can someone call 000 there is blood everywhere'."
