COUSINS Skye Taylor and William Allen were more than excited to see their favourite furry characters come to life on the stage at the "Sesame Street Presents Elmo's World Tour" yesterday.

Rockhampton's Pilbeam Theatre's front steps were full of activity as children of all ages dressed in all things Sesame Street made their way to see their favourite TV show on the stage.

Skye, who won tickets through The Morning Bulletin's Sesame St competition, said she loved the show.

"I like Big Bird because he's funny," the four-year-old said.

"I just love it and I also like Cookie Monster because he eats all the cookies."

William said he was most excited to see the star of the show, Elmo.

"I am really excited to see him today and I like watching the show on holidays," the five-year-old said.

The Pilbeam Theatre hosted three shows for Rockhampton fans yesterday, with many parents bringing their children along before the end of holidays.
