Colleen fears wild dog attacks
COLLEEN Torny is too afraid to leave her house at night.
"I can't go out in the dark because I am too afraid," Colleen told the Central Telegraph the night after her cattle dog was mauled to death by wild dogs.
Colleen's issues with wild dogs on her property 23km out of Biloela, is starting to resemble something out of a Hollywood horror movie.
"I'm scared," she said.
"The wild dogs have always been here but never this bad."
Colleen felt the full impact the wild dogs can have on a property owner three years ago when she had 27 goats killed.
"Now we have had one of our cattle dogs killed right beside the house."
The incidents have now forced Colleen to take extra precautions over the safety of her animals.
"We're locking up the cats at night and even our other dogs.
"It takes a lot of organising but I don't want to leave any of them out.
"I am so nervous.
"It's an awful way to die.
Colleen now wants to warn others about the dangers of the wild dogs.
"I just want to make sure people are aware that they are there and what they are doing."
