A-LISTERS Jamie Oliver, Jessica Biel and Debra Messing, plus scores of other Hollywood celebrities, have all been cut by Clive Allwright.

Their hair, that is.

The Sydney-based, London-born hairdresser last week spent a day with staff at R'NA Hair Studio teaching them new tricks of the trade in a course that has been held in many places overseas, including Los Angeles.

Clive told The Morning Bulletin when Jamie Oliver's people buzzed him to see if he could cut his hair in 30 minutes, he told them Oliver "creates three courses in that time" so he could cut his hair in that time.

Clive's 27-year career has seen him take his scissors to all corners of the globe including Brazil, The Netherlands, Canada, New Zealand and many other countries.

This week he was bound for New Zealand to take part in the country's fashion week before London's fashion show the following week.

He said the hairdressers at the Rockhampton salon were always keen to diversify their skill-base and cutting techniques.

"The guys here are really on the money when it comes to wanting to learn new things, new tools and products," he said.

"This is my fourth visit to Rockhampton."

When The Morning Bulletin spoke with Clive about his A-list client Jamie Oliver he wasn't keen to reveal too much about the famous foodie.

He only mentioned that they both had the same respect for their beloved Arsenal soccer team.

"When I cut his hair, we spent two hours talking and laughing and having a couple of beers."
