Banana Shire update - January 27
Mayor Ron Carige has given an update on the flood situation for Banana Shire towns as at 1pm today, January 27, details below.
Jambin - Residents are at the school and have enough supplies to last another day. Reports are the hotel and five houses have been inundated.
Wowan - Council is currently keeping a close eye on a broken water main which they are unable to get into town to fix.
Baralaba - The town is currently stranded with the new bridge 4metres underwater. The town has enough supplies for several days.
Thangool - The road from Biloela to Thangool is now open.
Dululu and Wowan - Now have access to Mount Morgan and Rockhampton.
Goovigen - Water is receding.
Theodore, Moura, Taroom and Cracow - Are fine at this stage.
Biloela - Woolworth staff are expecting a food truck on Tuesday.
