Cattle destroyed as trucks collide

MORE than 30 cattle have been destroyed following a truck crash on the Burnett Hwy near Monto on Wednesday.

The accident happened at 12.30pm after one truck attempted to overtake the other truck and the trailers collided.

Both B-Double trucks were carrying a full load of cattle.

Eidsvold police said 30 cattle were destroyed at the scene but more were destroyed later in the day due to their injuries.

Police said it was a low-speed incident.
